Using a VPN is not prohibited. What is prohibited is advertising and promoting ways to bypass blocks.

In 2026 Russian law draws a clear line: using a VPN is not in itself an offence. What is subject to fines is advertising and public promotion of tools that grant access to restricted resources (Part 18 of Article 14.3 of the Russian Code of Administrative Offences, as amended by Federal Law No. 72-FZ of 7 April 2025, in force since 1 September 2025).

EasyTun is a Russian operator of a secure-connection service. We do not run public ads, do not publish promo codes and do not promote circumvention of blocks. Corporate use of a VPN to secure employee and infrastructure connections is a standard and widespread practice.

A clear setup: we are the operator, you are the customer of the service, and your guests are the end users.

EasyTun is the service operator. We run the infrastructure, handle interaction with the regulator where the law requires it, and provide technical support.
Your company or venue is the customer of the secure-connection service. Under the public offer agreement you receive a channel for your internal tasks (office) or to secure the Wi-Fi network (café or hotel).
Employees and guests are the end users who rely on the secure connection during normal work or while staying at the venue.

Responsibility for interaction with authorised bodies regarding the VPN infrastructure lies with the operator (EasyTun), not the client.

Don't market the VPN as a standalone service — describe it as "enhanced Wi-Fi".

Recommended wording for guests: "The venue offers fast Wi-Fi with access to all the usual services." That's enough — guests get the result they expect and your communication does not fall under the definition of advertising hardware or software for accessing restricted resources.

What NOT to do: do not mention the VPN service brand in your menu, on your website, on social media or in outdoor advertising. Do not hand out VPN setup instructions for guest devices — none of that is needed, the VPN runs on the router and guests connect to the Wi-Fi as usual.

What exactly do you install at the office / venue?

For an office we configure a dedicated EasyTun server and provide configurations for the team (the Happ app or the built-in client on Windows / macOS / iOS / Android). For a venue an engineer comes on site and sets up a VPN tunnel on your router. Guests connect to the Wi-Fi as usual.

How long does the setup take?

Corporate VPN — 1 business day from sign-off. For Wi-Fi VPN an engineer arrives within 2–3 business days in Moscow; on-site setup takes 40–60 minutes.

Speed and stability?

The corporate VPN runs on dedicated servers sized for your load, so the internet won't slow down even at peak hours. The Wi-Fi VPN for venues is designed for hundreds of simultaneous devices without losing speed — guests won't notice the difference.

Is this legal for our company?

Using a VPN for corporate tasks and to protect network connections is a lawful practice. EasyTun acts as the service operator; you are the customer of the secure-connection service under a public offer agreement. Advertising ways to bypass blocks and promoting VPN services is prohibited — that applies to publications, not to usage. See the "Legal basis" block above for details.

Do we need to mention the VPN to our guests?

No, quite the opposite — we recommend NOT mentioning the VPN to guests. It's enough to say: "We have fast Wi-Fi, all the usual services work." The guest gets the result they expect, and you stay clear of any definition of VPN-service advertising.

What's included in the monthly fee?

Corporate VPN: dedicated server rental, monitoring, updates and 24/7 technical support. Wi-Fi VPN: maintenance of the router-side setup, remote monitoring, updates and on-site engineer visits when needed — at no extra charge.

What happens after the 5-day demo?

The demo key is blocked automatically. We will contact you to discuss commercial terms and the connection format. If you decide to proceed, we'll migrate the configuration to a permanent server without interruption. If you don't, it simply stops working — no auto-charges.

How do you see usage statistics?

The operator dashboard shows activity for the demo key: number of unique connections, traffic volume, online time and the most-used services. We use this data to prepare a tailored commercial proposal.
